Psalms 46:10

Turn the radio off on your drive to work today. Sit there in the silence. Pull into the slow lane and drive. Watch the cars around you. The anxiety of those around you rushing to various spots in our City. Think about each person as if they were your friend. Wonder how you can pray for them that their day might be blessed. Listen to the Spirit as it leads you to pray. Watch as God begins to take hold of your very eyes, and change your perceptions… “Be still, and know that I am God”

Sit at your computer and close your eyes. Listen for his voice. Open your eyes to view a field ripe for the harvest. Think of the blessings you have been given as your job closes in around you. Sit in awe of how God has so generously provided…. “Be still, and know that I am God”

Look at the beauty in the souls of those around you. See the pain in those people you have so earnestly avoided. Reach out a hand and say an encouraging word. Just for a second, try to see the world through their eyes. Show them Jesus.. “Be still, and know that I am God”

Offer up a kind gesture to a total stranger. Study their smile… “Be still, and know that I am God
